You’ve probably noticed that things look and feel a little bit different around here… don’t worry its still just us, Pocker Design that is – only NEW and IMPROVED! For nostalgia’s sake, we’ve posted a screenshot of the familiar and final Pocker Design homepage (right).

Why the change? The short answer is: to celebrate our ability to better serve our clients and have more fun doing it. The long answer is: we’ve been listening intently to what our clients have had to say. Two things we’ve heard a lot over the last couple of years are, “Do you accept online payment?” and “Can you recommend a good, reasonably priced photographer?” The answers to these questions, until today, have been “Sorry, no, not yet.” and “Sorry, no.”, respectively. No… not the Basketball contests and festivities during this fine month of March - I’m referring to the madness which has ensued around the office here at Pocker Design over the last several weeks. I don’t want to say anything that might let the cat out of the bag (so to speak), however I do want to mention that some exciting things are going on around here that we hope to formally announce by May, 2008. We’ve been listening carefully to what our clients have to say, and as a result, will be rolling out some new value added services that we hope our clients are going to love. The one thing I can start a “rumor” about is that there is a re-branding in our future… Stay tuned!

For those of you who are visiting using IE7, please excuse the mess. You may notice an annoying bit of breakage of the design in the lower section of the page. I apologize for the distraction and intend to give it proper attention just as soon as I can. Client work has me quite busy at the moment, but as soon as I have a little bit of breathing room I’ll fix it. I knew this day would come eventually. A conditional word of advice:

No, don’t worry, your monitor is not playing tricks on you - the site is different. Yep, I finally got inspired and completed a much needed redesign. The dark grays and earthtones of version 10 (pictured right for nostalgic purposes) were rich, warm, and dramatic, but I really felt that it was time to brighten things up around here. So, it’s out with the old and in with the blue… I am pleased to announce version 11 of the site (it’s hard to believe that this is the 11th major redesign). Other than the new look and feel of things, not a great deal has changed with the v_11 redesign. (more…)
